Duncan is extremely well known for his versatility across freestyle and medley events, acknowledged as Scotland's most decorated Olympian and Britain's most decorated swimmer. With 8 Olympic medals, multiple World and European Championship golds, and numerous Commonwealth Games medals, Duncan earned himself an OBE in 2025 for his services to swimming.

At just aged 19, Duncan became a two time Olympic medalist after his incredible performances at the 2016 Rio Olympics, just one year later he proved his dominance on the Senior stage as he cemented his Rio Olympic performances by becoming the most successful Scottish athlete at a single commonwealth games. Fast forward nearly a decade later and Duncan is still defying odds as he continues his journey at the International stage.
